Dmk Decides to Boycott Election

CHENNAI: DMK president M Karunanidhi on Friday announced that the party would boycott the by-elections to the various local body posts as the State Election Commission has not given sufficient time to opposition parties to select their candidates. The notification was issued on August 28 and the nomination began on the same day, he said.
