People queued up as early 4 am at the Manakula Vinayagar temple, where special “Theeparathanai” was held around 5: 30 am. The flow of devoteese continued till late in the afternoon.

Special poojas were performed in  various Vinayaka temples. Devotees also distributed “prasadam” to the public after the end of the poojas.
