PUDUCHERRY: General Manager of Southern Railway Rakesh Misra said the work on the fourth platform of Puducherry Railway Station will be completed within six to eight months.
He said this while speaking to newmen after inspecting the progress of ongoing works at the railway station on Friday.

The girders on the overbridge at the 100 Feet Road has to be erected by the railways and once this is done, the government is expected to do the remaining work, he said and added that the work on the level- crossing 41 A has been started by the government.
Replying to a query, the Southern Railway general manger said the government was extending all co-operation to the completion of the works at the earliest.
