CHENNAI: Protesting the grant of permission to an agitation, near the party headquarters, aimed at condemning former Union Minister P Chidarambaram’s son Karti Chidambaram for his views on party icon Kamaraj, TNCC president EVKS Elangovan on Friday led a road roko in front of Sathyamurthy Bhavan.
Later, Elangovan told reporters that only a few people had staged the protest near Sathyamurthy Bhavan and faulted the police for having provided protection to them. “How can police permit such a protest near the party headquarters?”, he said while, stressing that Kamaraj was the Congress lifeline.
