CHENNAI: Revolver of Ex-MLA StolenA revolver loaded with four bullets belonging to former DMK MLA Mathivanan was allegedly stolen from his car on Friday. Police said the culprit had diverted the attention of the driver by pointing to a bunch of notes on the ground.
“Mathivanan had gone inside the theatre office to meet a friend when the driver was waiting for him. A man knocked on the window and told him about the notes. When the driver got down, he opened the rear door and escaped with a bag,” said a police officer. Mathivanan lodged a complaint with Chrompet police stating that the bag contained a licensed revolver, ATM card, cheque book and documents.
