Make Maximum Use of Schemes, Students Told

School Education Minister K C Veeramani has called upon college students   to make use of the support and opportunities offered by the State government in order to build a career.

The Minister said this while participating in the 62nd Annual Day celebrations at Sacred Heart College in Tirupattur on Monday.

Enlisting the various measures initiated by the State government to promote higher education, the Minister said youngsters should utilise the facilities and do well in life.

Describing Sacred Heart College as an institution of opportunities benefitting the poor students in the region, he urged the student-community to see the college as a stepping stone to success.

Controller of the examinations of Thiruvalluvar University Dr P Asokan said the students can use their knowledge and learning to change the world. He said,”Today, the potential of the younger generation was not being exploited to the fullest.”

Tirupattur MLA Ramesh also spoke on the occasion. College principal Dr CM Verghese welcomed the gathering and read the annual report of the college.
