33 Repatriated from Sri Lanka

On Thursday, Indian Coast Guard personnel brought back the 33 Indian fishermen who were detained by Lankan navy on May 31, to Rameswaram jetty.

RAMANATHAPURAM: On Thursday, Indian Coast Guard personnel brought back the 33 Indian fishermen who were detained by Lankan navy on May 31, to Rameswaram jetty. The Lankan Navy had detained 29 fishermen along with six mechanized boats on the charges of trespassing the IMBL, and four others after their boat was dragged by a strong gale into the Lankan waters.
