TIRUPUR: Four of a family were killed when their car collided head on with a lorry near Kangeyam on Sunday.
According to police, Balasubramani (49), a resident of Sukkampalayam near Palladam along with his family members was returning after meeting his daughter staying at a hosyel in Kodumudi.
While they were nearing Pagavathipalayam Pirivu on Kangeyam, the car collided with a lorry. In the impact, Balasubramani, his wife Shanmugadevi (40), Veni (38), sister of Shnanmugadevi, and Shanmugadevi’s husband Eswaramoorthi (51), died on the spot.
On information, the Kangeyam police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies, which were later sent to Kangeyam government hospital for post-mortem.
