Chief Minister N Rangasamy distributed medals and degree certificates to students of Manakula Vinayagar Institute of Technology during the first Graduation Day function here on Saturday.

PUDUCHERRY: Chief Minister N Rangasamy distributed medals and degree certificates to students of Manakula Vinayagar Institute of Technology during the first Graduation Day function here on Saturday.

The eight Pondicherry University rank holders were honoured with gold and bronze medals and 183 under graduates from Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Computer Science and Engineering and IT and 84 post graduates from the business school  were awarded degrees. B Bavithra bagged the university gold medal in the Master of Business Administration, while Divya bagged the university bronze medal.

Chairman and managing director, M Dhanasekaran, presided over the function. Vice chairman, S V Sugumaran and Dr S Malarkkan, principal also spoke. Prof Dr B Radjaraman, HOD of Mechanical Engineering delivered the vote of thanks.
