'Vijayakant isn't Captain'

The Madras High Court has given its nod to the police to proceed against DMDK leader Vijayakant if a prima facie case is made out on misusing the title ‘Captain’, which, an ex-serviceman says, is an insult to the honour and respect of the Indian Army, which has the rank.

Justice C T Selvam, after hearing a petition from the ex-serviceman K Thandabani, passed the order. Thandabani,  who worked in the Army Medical Wing for more than 22 years filed a petition.
