A dalit from Dindigul filed a petition in the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court seeking CBCID inquiry in the gang-rape of his daughter as no arrest has been made in the case so far.
Armugam, a resident of Dindigul district, in his petition, stated that his 17-year-old daughter dropped out from school after her SSLC exam and was going for work in a fancy shop at Vedasanthur to support the family.
The teen, who got introduced to one Praveen, developed a relationship with him. The youth took the petitioner’s daughter to a deserted place in Malaikottai near Dindigul, where four of his friends, Maruthapandi, Kumaran, Sakthivel, Natrayan joined him.
All the five raped the girl and fled the scene leaving the victim in an unconscious there.
