The Reserve Bank of India has asked taxpayers to avoid last-minute rush by remitting their income tax dues sufficiently in advance of the due date. The RBI said that select branches of accredited agency banks such as the SBI, SBT, State Bank of Patiala, Indian Overseas Bank, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, IDBI Bank and HDFC Bank have been authorised to accept payments of income tax dues.
