Candidates List Out by Monday: AAP

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is expected to release its list of candidates for the coming Lok Sabha elections by Monday. The party also announced that it would come out with a document that would lend clarity to questions over the party’s stance on economic policies.

“The problem with the economic policies of our party has been that whenever there has been debate, it almost always gets categorised as either Marxist or capitalist. There is no reason for us to follow principles of existing economic policies like Marxism or capitalism or socialism or Lohia socialism. We are in the process of evolving our own brand of economics which will be suited to India’s needs,” said David Barunkumar, convenor of AAP’s Tamil Nadu election campaign committee. He also said the party would release its list of candidates for the Lok Sabha polls by Monday and affirmed his party’s commitment to fielding candidates against DMK’s A Raja and Dayanidhi Maran, who he called ‘corrupt’.

AAP also saw the induction of journalist-activist Vasigaran into the party.
