District Collector Nanthagopal on Saturday inspected Ranipet, Sholinghur, Arakkonam, Kaveripakkam and Wallajah in Arakkonam constituency to ensure that graffiti, banners, etc, put up by political parties without proper permission were removed.
He inspected the flying squad and static surveillance teams involved in vehicle checks in Melvalam and Thalikkal areas.
The Collector visited the government higher secondary school premises which was one of the poll booths to check whether all basic amenities had been provided.
He also inspected the ongoing work on establishing a ramp facility in the booth for the benefit of the differently abled.
Ranipet RDO Dr Priyadharshini, Arakonam Tahsildhar Meeanakshi Perumal and other officials from revenue department accompanied the Collector.
