The karikolam (spiritual tour of deity) of Swarnalakshmi idol was undertaken at the Sri Narayani Peedam here on Sunday.
Sampath, manager of the peedam, said after the completion of karikolam, the deity would be formally installed in the special temple inside the complex. The ratham carrying the deity was taken to Chittoor on Sunday, after the pontiff of the peedam Sri Sakthi Amma performed the special pooja and abishekam.
The karikolam is expected to be completed in the next six months, Sampath said.
Brahmotsavam
The Brahmotsavam of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Sholinghur would be held between May 2 and May 17 this year. A kumbabishekam will also take place on May 25. The temple is revered as one of the 108 divyadesam pilgrim centres of the Vaishnavites.
