DMK treasurer Stalin appealed to the electorate of Arakkonam constituency to vote for the DMK to establish a secular government at the Centre.
While canvassing for the DMK candidate N R Elango, who is contesting for the Arakkonam constituency, Stalin said, whether in power or or not, the DMK was the only party that evinced interest in the welfare of the people. On Wednesday, he addressed people in Senthamangalam in Nemili block and later at Venkatapuram village in Arakkonam block. Later, he addressed a large gathering at the Arakkonam bus stand.
He enlisted the various welfare schemes that were implemented during the DMK rule in the State and in the region and pointed out that the flyovers at Anathapuram, Arakkonam-Tiruthani road, integrated court building complex at Arakkonam and the RTO office were constructed. He also addressed people in Arcot, Wallajah and Katpadi.
