Police are on the lookout for a doctor who allegedly threatened to kill his relative by injecting him with poison.
Police sources said that Maheshwaran (38) of Tirunelveli district and Sivasubramaniam, a diabetes specialist in Tenkasi, were relatives. Sivasubramaniam allegedly got took 35 lakh from Maheshwaran promising to get him a government job, which he failed to do.
On Saturday, when Sivasubramaniam was in Srivilliputhur to attend a case Maheshwaran demanded his money back. An angry Sivasubramaniam is said to have pushed Maheshwaran down and threatened to kill him by injecting him with poison.
On Maheshwaran’s complaint, Srivilliputhur Town police registered a case.
