PUDUCHERRY: Chief Minister N Rangasamy on Saturday said his party, which had an electoral alliance with BJP, would join the Narendra Modi government if an offer comes his way.

Replying to newsmen in an informal chat, Rangasamy said through this alliance a lot of welfare and development schemes can be brought to Puducherry.

Though he was non-committal on his participation in the swearing-in ceremony of Modi, Rangasamy said he would soon meet him and appraise him about the financial crisis in the UT and impress upon him to waive the nearly `5,000-crore loan liability of the government.
