PUDUCHERRY: Chief Minister N Rangasamy got a compliment from Prime Minister designate Narendra Modi on Tuesday when the latter described him as a simple Chief Minister. At a meeting of the leaders of NDA allies and their MPs in the central hall of Parliament, Modi expressed his liking for him. “I know him very well. He is very simple,” he said. Earlier, Rangasamy greeted Modi with a shawl and bouquet and congratulated him on his victory and introduced party MP R Radhakrishnan. Rangasamy also extended his party’s support to the BJP. Later he called on BJP president Rajnath Singh at his residence and held discussions. The meeting lasted for about 10 minutes and Radhakrishnan, Puducherry BJP president M Visweswaran and other office bearers of the party were present.
