VELLORE: A 3 day certification free camp organized by All India Grama Kovil Poojarigal Peravai, Vellore, a federation of village temple poojaris, concluded on Monday. A Boopalan, district organizer of Peravai, said the camp was held from May 24-26 at Thirupugazh Sachidananda Madam near Vallimalai cave temple. About 75 poojaris participated. They were taught to do poojas, archans, recite shlokas (in Tamil and Sanskrit), to do arathi, neivedyam etc by Krishna Premi Soundarajan, head priest and trustee of Peravai. Balasubramanya Ganapadigal (Principal of Vedagama Padasalai) and Mayilsamy (President of Peravai). Valediction was by Abhedananda Swamigal of Mukthi Ashram, Tiruvannamalai.
