Marriage Assistance to be Distributed on Friday

VELLORE: The district Social Welfare Department has made arrangements to disburse marriage assistance to 2,500 beneficiaries on May 30 in three revenue divisions.

The assistance in the form of cash and gold is being extended to girls who are getting married with tenth or Plus Two and degree or diploma qualifications.

Those who have studied up to 10th or Plus Two would get `25,000 assistance and four grams of gold for thaali,

And those who have studied up to degree or diploma would get `50,000 cash assistance and four grams of gold.

The beneficiaries in the Ranipet revenue division (from Arcot, Timiri, Wallajah, Kaveripakkam, nemili, Sholinghur and Arakonam) would avail of the assistance at a function being arranged at Nellarisi Thirumana Mantapam, Timiri road at Arcot at 10 am on May 30.

For Vellore revenue division (Vellore, Kaniyambadi, Madanur, Anaicut, Katpadi, K V Kuppam, Gudiyattam and Pernambut), the function will be held at Quid-e-Millath Hall, Collectorate, Vellore on the same day at 11 am.

For the Tirupattur revenue division (tirupattur, Kandili, Jolarpet, Natrampalli and Alangayam), the function will be held at R S Thirumana Mantapam, Joalatpet, on the same at 2 pm. 

Members of Parliament, State Assembly, Collector, Sub-collector and RDO and other officials will participate in these functions.
