40 Fishermen Released by SL Court Return Home

RAMESWARAM: Forty fishermen from this coastal town, who were part of 76 arrested by the Sri Lankan Navy in different batches and ordered to be released by a court in the island nation, arrived here today.

The fishermen who were arrested near Katchatheevu islet on September 11 were handed over to the Indian Coast Guard by the Sri Lankan Naval personnel at the International Maritime Boundary Line at 1100 hrs, 'Q' branch inspector Kennedy said.
