VELLORE: S Sasikala has taken charge as the Commissioner of Ambur municipality. Municipal engineer, L Kumar, in addition to his duties, was fulfilling the role of Commissioner temporarily till Sasikala took over. Prior to her appointment, Sasikala was the commissioner of Bodinayakkanur municipality and her appointment as the commissioner of Ambur municipality is seen as a promotion.
She said that her focus will be to keep the town clean and tidy and will strive to meet the civic needs of the residents of Ambur.
