CHENNAI/VILLUPURAM: A 25-year-old lecturer in a private dental college allegedly killed herself by taking excessive sleeping pills in her house at Vyasarpadi on Saturday night. Police said the family members of K Devi grew suspicious when she did not wake up on Sunday morning. They took her a hospital where the doctors declared her as brought dead. An empty bottle of the pills was found in her room. She had not left behind any suicide note. Vyasarpadi police have registered a case.
Meanwhile, a 29-year-old woman’s body was found in a decomposed state in a sugarcane farm near Sankarapuram in Villupuram on Saturday. Police registered a case and are searching for her husband whom they suspect has a role in the death. The deceased was identified Sheela Mecinda (29) of Viriyur village.
