PUDUCHERRY: The local unit of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) urged the government to come out with a white paper on the scams in admission through the Centralized Admission Committee (Centac) of the government to professional colleges.

In a statement, CPM secretary V Perumal alleged that irregularities through Centac are taking place in the admissions to medical and engineering courses. He also demanded a high-level probe into “frauds” committed by the officials.

In the latest case, that has come to light recently, a student resident of a neighbouring state got admission to a private medical college here by producing fake certificates, which were made with the help of officials here.
