PUDUCHERRY: Congress representative in Rajya Sabha P Kannan on Friday condemned the attack on Holy Child Auxilium School in the national capital and called upon Prime minister Narendra Modi to take action on the perpetrators.
In a statement , Kannan said any religious institution should not be attacked and its sanctity should be maintained. Attack on weak by the powerful amounted to cowardice, he added.
Claiming that minority communities were feeling insecure , Kannan said the BJP government should take measures to instill the sense of security.
Condemning the attack, PCC president A V Subramanian demanded that a speedy enquiry be conducted and those responsible brought to book.
