AIADMK Changes Candidate for Arupukottai

AIADMK general secretary and Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa changed the candidate for Arupukottai Assembly constituency.

CHENNAI: AIADMK general secretary and Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Tuesday changed the candidate for Arupukottai Assembly constituency. On April 4, M G Muthuraja was announced as candidate. Now, Dr Vaigaichelvan would be the official candidate of the party, she said in a statement here.

Party sources said all candidates would meet her on Wednesday. They have been directed to open election offices in their constituencies between 11 am and 12 pm on April 9, as Jayalalithaa is slated to launch her campaign on that day.
