Minor Girl Brutally Murdered in Puducherry

A 15-year-old girl was found brutally murdered in her  house at Kanuvapet  near here on Tuesday.

PUDUCHERRY: A 15-year-old girl was found brutally murdered in her  house at Kanuvapet  near here on Tuesday.

Police said an unidentified person gained entry into the house and murdered Kirthika (16) by silting her throat when her parents were away in a hospital. Kirthika, who was studying in private school, had just appeared for the class 10 public examinations and was waiting for the results.

Police said the victim’s father, Nagaraj, had accompanied his mother to a hospital after she suffered fits in the morning.

In the meantime, Kirthika went to a school nearby  in the afternoon to give lunch to her brother and returned to her house.

According to police, Nagaraj telephoned his daughter and while she was answering, Nagaraj heard a man’s voice over the phone, which went dead almost immediately.

Suspecting danger, he telephoned a neighbor, who went to the house. The neighbor found the front door locked and when he entered through the rear door, he found the girl lying a in a pool of blood with her throat slit.He then informed Nagaraj, who rushed and informed the police about the incident.

Police rushed to her house and removed the body to the government  hospital for post-mortem.

Top police officials  including Senior Superintendent of Police, V J  Chandran reached the spot.Finger print experts and  sniffer dog was also pressed into service.

The motive behind  the murder is not immediately known.

Villianur police registered a case and further investigations are on.
