IUML to Seek 12 Seats for Muslims in DMK-led Front

CHENNAI: The IUML general secretary KM Khader Mohideen on Saturday met the DMK president M Karunanidhi at his home and said his party would seek 12 Assembly seats for Muslim candidates drawn from all parties and organisations which would be part of the DMK-led alliance for the 2016 Assembly polls.

“During the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, we wanted four LS seats out of 40 in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry, and our demand was met. The IUML executive committee meets on January 20 where we will decide on the number of seats for IUML,” he told mediapersons.
