Villupuram betters its previous scores, sets new record in Tamil Nadu HSC examination

A a new record, Villupuram district has got 89.47 percentage pass in class twelve result.

VILLUPURAM: The district bettered its previous scores by getting 89.47 percentage pass in the class twelve result.

The results of the Tamil Nadu state board exam was published today and the district achieved a new bench mark by getting 89.47 pass percentage.

Sornamaliya of AKT matriculation Higher Secondary School in Kallakuruchi scored the top score in the  district first by securing 1185, and Magalatchumi of the same school has scored 1182 and is ranked third in the district.

Meanwhile, R Dhanalatchumi of Sri Saradha Vidyalaya Higher Secondary school in Ulundurpet got district second by scoring 1184 marks.

In government school category, D Preethi of Tirukoilur Government Higher Secondary school has secured 1162 and got district first among government school students.

By this record percentage, Villupuram district stands twenty sixth rank among thirty two district and Puducherry union territory, which is three ranks ahead than previous year stand in which district has got 83.96 pass percentage.

Tamil Nadu state board exam started on March 4 and concluded on April 1. In Villupuram, 36,300 including 18,465 girls wrote this exam.
