Namadhu MGR turns a blind eye to TN CM, ministers?

The news about Kodungaiyur fire accident, the CM rushing to see the affected persons and his announcements about the solatium and other steps taken by him has not been carried by Namadhu MGR.

CHENNAI: In what could be termed as a flashpoint within the ruling AIADMK (Amma), the party’s mouthpiece Namadhu MGR on Monday ignored the news relating to Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and his Cabinet colleagues.  If this continues in the coming days, one can expect many more developments in the near future.

Significantly, the news about Kodungaiyur fire accident, the Chief Minister rushing to hospital to see the affected persons and his announcements about the solatium and other steps taken by him has not been carried by Namadhu MGR.  No news about any minister also has appeared.

Though there have been charges and counter-charges ever since TTV Dhinakaran returned from Tihar jail, the squabbling did not echo in the party’s mouthpiece. Three days ago, the Chief Minister’s greeting over the anniversary of Namadhu MGR was telecast in Jaya Plus. But the sudden ‘boycott’ has raised the eyebrows of the party functionaries and cadre and they thought that it would not have taken place without instructions from Dhinakaran.

On June 2, when Namadhu MGR carried an article strongly criticising the Centre on its cattle sale rules, Finance Minister D Jayakumar had said the views expressed by the daily were not of the government.
