Amit Shah to meet OBC leaders in chennai, kovai 

BJP national president Amit Shah will meet OBC leaders in Chennai and Coimbatore during his three-day visit to Tamil Nadu from August 22.  

CHENNAI: BJP national president Amit Shah will meet OBC leaders in Chennai and Coimbatore during his three-day visit to Tamil Nadu from August 22.  As per the tentative schedule, he will arrive in Chennai  around 10.20 am on August 22. The BJP cadre,  particularly the youth wing, is organising a bike rally to give a rousing reception to Shah from the airport to the Chennai Port Trust guest house where his accommodation has been arranged.   On the first day, Shah will chair a meeting of the core committee of the party’s State unit. Later, he will interact with district-level leaders as well as in-charges appointed for parliamentary constituencies. He is also scheduled to attend a Sangh Parivar meeting the same day. 


After 3 pm, Shah will be meet OBC leaders at Hotel Savera. Again at the guest house, he will meet leaders of the party at the Port Trust guest house. On August 23, he is scheduled to meet booth committee members at Nadukuppam and later he will garland the statue of Tiruvalluvar at Mylapore.   At Le Meridien hotel, he will meet election management committee members. He is also scheduled to address the media  around 12.30 pm.


The BJP leader will meet editors of newspapers and television channels over lunch. Finally, he will interact with intellectuals from various fields. Later, he will leave for Coimbatore.
On August 24, Amit Shah will meet OBC leaders at Coimbatore. Thereafter, he will hold discussions with 25 administrative departments of the State unit of BJP. He will leave for Delhi in the evening.
