Dhinakaran's effigy burnt in Tamil Nadu

Followers of Municipal Administration Minister S P Velumani were protesting his removal from the party by T T V Dhinakaran.

COIMBATORE: Protesting against the removal of Municipal Administration Minister S P Velumani by AIADMK (Amma) deputy chief T T V Dhinakaran from the party, the minister's followers today burnt the effigy of the sidelined leader at various places here.    

They raised slogans against Dhinakaran and burnt his effigies at R S Puram, Kuniyamurthur, Kovaipudur and some places in Thondamuthur, the assembly constituency of Velumani, police said.      

They also hailed the works carried out by Velumani in his constituency.
