CHENNAI: Breaking his silence on the video clipping of the late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa sipping juice in Apollo Hospitals, T T V Dhinakaran, AIADMK rebel and independent candidate in the RK Nagar by-election, at the end of polling, concurred with his lieutenant P Vetrivel that the her video was released without his (TTV’s) knowledge.

Dhinakaran refused to take action against Vetrivel. Talking to mediapersons, Dhinakaran claimed that Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and most of his ministers had witnessed the video many months ago.

Vetrivel had, in the past, expressed the view that the video should be released to scotch all rumours raised about Sasikala. “But we have been saying that it should not be made public and instead submitted to the inquiry commission,” he said.

Dhinakaran said the video was shot by Sasikala in last year in the hospital.
