PUDHUCHERRY: Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi on Saturday asked the administrative officials in Puducherry to cooperate with the CBI investigation into medical admission issue.

Central Bureau of Investigation has already filed a case against 13 officials, including the CENTAC convener, on medical admission issue. It conducted raids at several private medical colleges as part of the investigation.

Meanwhile, Kiran Bedi, who went to New Delhi for some personal and official works, mentioned through the social media that the CBI has ‘cleaned Puducherry administration’.
“Revealing truth during the inquiry is the only option for the officials now. If they are unwilling, they will face consequences,’’ said Bedi.

She further said that the officials should confess whether they committed mistakes by themselves or as per the instructions of others. Persons who were elected as people’s representatives, have the complete responsibility to fight for justice.

This move of the L-G is seen as adding fuel to the cold war with the government. Responding to Bedi, the CM and other ministers said that she was trying to spoil the goodwill of the government.
