E-stamp system in sub-registrar offices in 11 Corporations

Chief Minister EPS has extended e-stamping system for paying stamp duty in 56 sub-registrar offices in 11 Corporations.

CHENNAI: Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami has extended e-stamping system for paying stamp duty in 56 sub-registrar offices in 11 Corporations - Tiruchy, Madurai, Coimbatore, Salem, Tirunelveli, Vellore, Erode, Thoothukudi, Tirupur, Dindigul and Thanjavur.  

Already, e-stamping system is in force in 63 sub-registrar offices in Chennai Zone. The Chief Minister also inaugurated 29 integrated agriculture extension centres, two fertiliser labs and two soil testing centres, established at a total cost of `45.90 crore, through the video conferencing facility at the secretariat on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the CM presented keys for 10 Tata Sumo jeeps for the use of the Commercial Tax department officials and three of the drivers received the keys from him at the Secretariat on July 25.

Besides, he also declared open the integrated commercial taxes complex at Thanjavur built at a cost of `2.7 crore and sub-registrar offices at Krishnagiri and Guduvancherry both built at a total cost of `2.78 crores.
Also, legal heirs of five members of the Tamil Nadu Traders Welfare Board, who had lost their lives in the recent past, received cheques for financial assistance of `1 lakh each. 

Besides, the families of five more members would be getting similar assistance and one more member would be getting `50,000 towards heart surgery.
