CHENNAI: Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Saturday participated in the commencement of Chaturmas Vrat ‘The Holy Function’ at Madhavaram at the 27-acre land which was developed to host Jain Acharya Mahashraman during his four-month stay in Chennai.“I am extremely grateful to members of the Jain community, who were instrumental in providing aid to victims of the 2015 Chennai floods. Your contribution was instrumental in preventing loss of life,” said Palaniswami addressing the gathering. According to members of Acharya Shree Mahashraman Chaturmas Pravas Vyvastha Samithi, the 11th Acharya of the Swethambar Therapanth Jains would begin his discourse on Sunday.
