COIMBATORE:  Chief minister M K Stalin changed portfolios of some ministers because corruption charges were levelled against them, AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami has said.
Addressing reporters at Omalur, Palaniswami said corruption is rampant in the DMK government.

“In an audio clip, the former finance minister allegedly is heard levelling corruption charges against the CM’s son and son-in law. The CM did not drop Palanivel Thiaga Rajan from the cabinet, but only changed his portfolio fearing he could expose corruption if he is sacked. People are already talking about this. I have learned that few more audio clips would come out. We have lodged a petition regarding this to Union Home Affairs minister Amit Shah. We will explain about it to governor R N Ravi.”

Reacting to the governor’s remarks on Dravidan ideology, the former chief minister said DMK leaders and supporters are unhappy with the governor because he is criticising its corrupt activities.

When asked about the recent meeting between O Panneerselvam and TTV Dhinakaran, EPS said,”Earlier they called each other as ‘traitor’, but have joined hands and said they will work as a team. People now know who the traitors are.”  He added, “OPS is working as the DMK’s B team and it’s out in the open when he met Sabareeswaran in public recently.”

When asked about the cases pending against him, the leader of opposition said he is facing 11 cases. “The case filed by DMK leader RS Bharathi is false and his advocate told me he is withdrawing it .This shows the cases filed against me are false.” On Salem police registereing a case regarding his affidavit, Palaniswami said he has nothing to hide.
