Singer Bombay Jayashri recovering well in UK

Renowned carnatic singer, Bombay Jayashri Ramnath, who was undergoing treatment at a hospital in the United Kingdom after she suffered aneurysm, is recovering well.

CHENNAI:  Renowned Carnatic singer, Bombay Jayashri Ramnath, who was undergoing treatment at a hospital in the United Kingdom after she suffered an aneurysm, is recovering well. 

Jayashri fell ill while touring the UK for a series of concerts. She was admitted to a specialist hospital.  Her family members, in a statement, have thanked the doctors and updated her fans about her recovery.

The singer’s son, Amrit Ramnath, who has been with her,  said, “My mother has received excellent care in the UK, and I am happy to report that she is recovering well in our relative’s home here. She has expressed her deep gratitude for all the prayers and good wishes that she received in abundance, from across the globe.”

“We are extremely grateful for the world-class medical attention she received as well as the robust support system and help from people in the UK, that has helped us get through this turbulent period,” he further added. 

Bombay Jayashri Ramnath is Sangita Kalanidhi's designate for the 2023 annual conference of the Madras Music Academy.
