KRISHNAGIRI: A Class 10 student with disability from Krishnagiri sought the administration’s aid to pursue higher education. The student, A Krithi Varma (15) has secured 437 marks in his Class 10 examinations and topped the Government school in Veppanapalli. On Friday, after the exam results were announced, he requested Krishnagiri administration’s assistance to continue his education as the nearest government school is about 6 km far from his house.

Krithi’s mother A Kasthuri told TNIE, “As a single working mother, it was extremely difficult for me to even help him pursue his education so far. Because of his condition, he is not able to perform daily tasks and requires a full-time caretaker.

Now as the nearest higher secondary school lies over 6 km from our village in Kurubarapalli. ” She said that as her son would be unable to board crowded buses to reach school and she cannot arrange private transportation for him, she needs the administration’s help to ensure the facilities and arrange alternatives for her son to continue his education.
