HYDERABAD:  The Direct Benefit Transfer of LPG (DBTL), which is currently being implemented in three districts of Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Adilabad, will  be implemented in all other districts in the state from January 1.

Civil supplies commissioner C Parthasarathi held a meeting of the Oversight Committee on DBTL on Saturday with officials concerned including bankers and oil companies.

The civil supplies commissioner instructed the bankers to solve the grievances being faced by LPG consumers as well as LPG dealers with regard to seeding and software problems.

He also advised all the district collectors to immediately call for a meeting of the district level bankers to expedite the Direct Benefit Transfer of LPG (DBTL).

The committee discussed about the improvement of Cash Transfer Compliant (CTC) percentage i.e. about transfer of subsidy, the Aadhaar seeding at LPG dealer point and at banks.

It was decided at the meeting that a meeting would be convened by the collectors concerned with the lead district managers through the state-level bankers committee. The bankers should solve the software related problems being encountered by the consumers.

Axis and ICICI banks should provide closed account list to the oil marketing companies for advising the customer suitably.

Forms collected from the consumers by the oil marketing company distributors should be sent to the lead district managers for seeding. Lead district manager should also give the seeding status to the oil companies on a weekly basis. A circular in this regard should be issued by the SLBC, he said.

He further said all banks should send SMS to customers informing them of the transfer of subsidy to their accounts.

Oil company distributors shall display the permanent enrolment centres details prominently in the showrooms for the benefit of customers for Aadhaar seeding. The commissioner informed that a meeting would be called with 51 bank controlling officers for software modification and also for expediting the seeding process.

He made it clear that the pace of Aadhaar seeding with the LPG dealers and the banks should be augmented.
