TRS Plenary Session Postponed to Oct 18, 19

HYDERABAD: The ruling TRS party on Thursday postponed party’s plenary session scheduled for October 11-12 to October 18-19 in view of the heavy rain forecast for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in the next few days.

Chief minister and TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao stated in a release on Thursday that the plenary will now take place on October 18 and 19 with the delegates’ conference at Lal Bahadur stadium on the first day and public meeting at Parade grounds the next day.   Around 30,000 party activists are expected to attend the plenary.  During the plenary several leaders from other parties are likely to join the pink party.

The TRS plenary is aimed at a show of strength at a time when the Hyderabad civic polls are round the corner. More significantly, the plenary is an event that focuses on converting the electoral victory into political organisational strength.
