HYDERABAD: The High Court directed the TS Pollution Control Board to submit a status report within two weeks on the action initiated against various private cotton ginning and seed processing units and other pollutant industries running without statutory permissions in and around Gadwal town in Mahbubnagar district.
A division bench comprising chief justice KJ Sengupta and justice PV Sanjay Kumar passed this order while hearing a PIL filed by Gadwal municipal chairperson G Padmavathi and three others who questioned the inaction of the authorities even in the face of rampant violations by industries.
