HYDERABAD: The State government on Friday constituted an expert committee to formulate the policy framework for implementation of e-governance at all levels.

The move comes in the wake of a Central government panel’s recommendation for mandatory ICT skills among government employees. It had suggested that basic ICT skills should be a must even at the entry level for all positions and for promotion too in all cadres of government employees.

The Centre has recently advised the States to implement the panel’s recommendations to take forward e-governance.

For implementation of this policy effectively and prepare a policy framework, the Telangana government constituted an expert committee, headed by Secretary (GAD Services).
