Powerloom Owner Commits Suicide in Karimnagar

KARIMNAGAR: Unable to bear mental stress, a debt ridden owner of a powerloom in Sircilla committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling on Wednesday. Samala Gouraiah (57), was the owner of 8 powerloom units at Ganeshnagar in Sircilla town. He was suffering from acute financial problems for few days. His left hand got fractured and the recent strikes of powerloom workers made matter worse for him. Weaving works decreased resulting excess monetary burden. Unable to bear the stress, he took the extreme step. Sircilla police registered a case and took up investigation.
