Japan Offers Scholarships for Students

HYDERABAD:Japanese government invites applications from international students for scholarships to study in Japan. Ministry of education, culture, sports, science and technology of Japan (MEXT) offers these scholarships to study at a specialized training college, a college of technology and a university (undergraduate level) for three years, four years and five years respectively, beginning April 2016. 

Candidates born between  April 2, 1994 and  April 1, 1999 are eligible to apply.  Candidates must be willing to undergo one-year intensive course of Japanese language before studying in colleges.

Candidates should write an exam at Consulate-General of Japan in Chennai. The final selection will be made by MEXT. Results will be forwarded to the selected candidates by February 2016.

Application form can be obtained from the Consulate-General of Japan (Culture & Information Department), 12/1, Cenetoph Road, Teynampet, Chennai 600 018.
