Cong Leader Meets Bereaved Families

ADILABAD:AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi met the families of five farmers, who ended their lives due to crop loss. As Rahul sat before them to hear their problems, they were perplexed and some of them become emotional. Though language was a barrier, translators did the job for Rahul. He visited Laxmanchanda and Mamada mandals in Nirmal constituency to console the select five families of farmers who committed suicide due to mounting debts. He visited the families of Dannooru Velma Rajeshwar in Kortical village and assured all help. To the family of Bandla Linganna of Laxmanchanda mandal, he handed over a cheque of Rs 2 lakh. The families of Sudi Lasmanna in Laxmanchanda and  Satham Gangadhar of Rachapur village had no houses of their own. Rahul instructed local leaders to look into the matter. Rahul also visited the family of Pasupula Laxman of Wadial and handed over a cheque of Rs 2 lakh to his wife. He also made an unscheduled visit to the family of V Shanker who died in Saudi Arabia.
