Cong Leader Issues Contempt of Court Notice to State Govt

NALGONDA: Nalgonda MP Gutha Sukhendar Reddy has said contempt of court notices were served on the State government regarding the Parliamentary Secretaries’ issue.

Speaking to media persons in Nalgonda on Sunday, he said a High Court bench consisting of the Chief Justice had given a judgment against the appointment of Parliamentary Secretaries. But till date, the government has not removed them from their posts, he added. “Keeping this in view, my advocate sent contempt of court notices to Chief Secretary Rajeev Sharma, Law Department Secretary Santhosh Reddy and six Parliamentary Secretaries. Telangana is formed according to the Constitution but Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is not honouring courts and the Constitution,” he alleged and accused KCR of behaving like a monarch.

He further said TRS ministers and KCR had no right to criticise party leader Rahul Gandhi`s recent Rythu Bharosa Yatra in Adilabad district. “Congress initiated many schemes for the welfare of farmers in the State including free power, waiver of loans and others. The UPA government issued a GO for compensation of `1.5 lakh to the kin of each farmer who had committed suicide,” he claimed. Hundreds of farmers have committed suicide in Telangana state, but KCR and other ministers have not even called on their families, he alleged.

The Congress leader also claimed that TRS elected representatives and local leaders were putting pressure on officials for subsidy tractors and Deepam connections. In Bommala Ramaram mandal, officials including the MPDO and village secretaries, have gone on leave to avoid political pressure, he said.
