HYDERABAD: Expressing satisfaction over the steps being taken by Telangana government to avert deaths due to heat waves during summer season, a division bench of the Hyderabad High Court has directed the AP government also to take similar measures to prevent heat wave deaths in AP.
The bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Dilip B Bhosale and Justice S Ravi Kumar was passing this direction in a PIL case filed by P Srisailam of Ranga Reddy district.
The bench had ordered the AP government to take similar measures as taken by the Telangana government to deal with heat wave related inicdents.
In reply, AP advocate general P Venugopal said the state government would also take necessary steps in this regard and urged the court to grant some time for passing orders for the purpose.
Following the request, the bench posted the matter to December 7.
