HYDERABAD: The Telangana Tourism Department proposes to erect as many as 160 signage boards on the state highway, enroute tourist sites between Secunderabad and Kaleshwaram soon.

The proposed 160 signage boards will have four models that include 109 junction boards, 40 standard boards, nine Haritha boards and two welcome and thank you boards in the above stretch.

The objective is to facilitate the travellers and tourists with proper route guide posts and thus saving their time and money and to make an innovative and interactive signboard system, offering direction, distance and themes of Telangana tourism with a comprehensive approach.

Travellers can choose or note their places of interest, also to generate interest, wherever possible, through messages which convey significance of the location and providing contact information of the office incharge and the toll free number.

The signboards will be placed along both sides of the state highways at defined locations from highway to the point of destination. All categories of boards look identical and carry an elliptical sign of Telangana tourism on top.
